Now the US has another reason to fear China and it's dominance of
our store shelves. Not only is glassware, cloths, toys, and tools
made overseas, but now China is sending it's pigs.
Prior to this news story, which has been circulating in the back
pages of many prominent newspapers, America was known to only export
food such as grain and other crops. "America definitely has more food
than it needs; I have NO idea why we would want any more!" Prof. Fred
Anderson of Texas A&M told Coverups.com, "And livestock? It's just
absurd!"
Reports of prices in numerous delis as low as $2.00 per pound cause
a serious threat. Pig farmer Shannon McDonald has been quoted in many
Midwest newspapers as saying, "Our swine are the happiest, healthiest
in the world. Nowhere in our markets do we need Chinese pigs, and
this is not about race, this is about our farmers fighting to survive."
But many Asian-American Groups have come out against native farmers
that oppose the overseas competition. "The white farmer has had the
upper-hand in this industry long enough! We deserve justice! Our hogs
deserve equal treatment. The bigotry needs to be stopped," said Michael
Wong of AAFLE (Asian American For Livestock Equality.)

Containers come in by the
thousands everyday into Los Angeles and they usually carry anything from dolls to digital cameras. Lately the inventory
has been found to walk on four
legs. |
Many of the swine that trot off the boats are Beijing Black, but
the American meat industry aside, this raises more red flags with
animal rights groups. PETA has once again come out, arms up in the
air, about these allegations. "Just because they are on a different
continent doesn't mean that they can treat these creatures like that.
It doesn't matter where the animals are, all are equal," said Susanne
Kohn at a recent march in Santa Monica, CA.

Soon after this picture was taken,
PETA stormtroopers stole this piglet and set it free
in an unknown location. |
Inquisitive minds at CoverUps.com started asking various
people if they had ever actually seen the pigs themselves or the actual
meat at the supermarket. They either said that they had not or declined
to answer. We tried reaching the newspapers that printed the stories
and were unable to speak with the original writers. One thing is for
sure, make sure to check on the back for the words, "Grown in China."
