The Would-Be First Lady's Rage Against "The Man" Goes Back A Long Way

Snopes.com has the dismal confirmation about something that has been blindingly obvious for quite some time now to growing numbers of Americans. Michelle Obama is an angry woman with an unhealthy preoccupation with race.

In her senior thesis at Princeton, Michele Obama, the wife of Barack Obama stated that America was a nation founded on "crime and
hatred".

From the first moment she stepped onto the political stage, Michelle Obama's contribution to the national dialog has been a steady stream of grievance and complaint, in stark contrast to her husband's supposedly post-racial appeal.

Mrs. Obama clearly identifies herself with a "separationist" view of race. "By actually working with the Black lower class or within their communities as a result of their ideologies, a separationist may better understand the desperation of their situation and feel more hopeless about a resolution as opposed to an integrationist who is ignorant to their plight." Obama writes that the path she chose by attending Princeton would likely lead to her "further integration and/or assimilation into a white cultural and social structure that will only allow me to remain on the periphery of society; never becoming a full participant."

The sour narcissism of her writing is striking – especially because it was produced by someone who by any reasonable measure has "made it". She graduated from an ivy league school. Married a successful and ambitious black man. Raised a family. Quickly climbed to the top rungs of corporate America. Is it really so difficult for Michelle Obama to look back on her life story and appreciate the goodness (and greatness!) of the country that offered her so much opportunity.

Yet clearly she does not see it that way:

Here is another passage that is uncomfortable and ominous in meaning:  "There was no doubt in my mind that as a member of the black community, I am obligated to this community and will utilize all of my present and future resources to benefit the black community first and foremost. "

Do as you wish, Ms. Obama. No-one is likely to talk you out of your resentment.

It's easy to see what kind of government policies would spring from an Obama administration. Keep in mind that Michelle gives every indication of being a politically active First Lady, like Hillary Rodham Clinton was in the 90s.

She sees black people and white people eternally conflicted with one another. The thesis provides a trove of Mrs. Obama's thoughts and world view seen through a race-based prism. This is a very divisive view for a potential first lady that would do untold damage to race relations in this country in a Barack Obama administration.

Our Take

Brace yourself for a dramatic ratcheting up of the federal entitlement and victimology machinery in a Barack Obama presidency. Expect his unhappy, race obsessed First-Lady-in-waiting to build a bigger, more intrusive welfare state in her own frowning image, if she gets the chance.
